These photos show a little more about how parakeets (also called Budgies) breed.

Eggs in a wooden box. They lay one each day and can lay up to 7 or 8 eggs!

Close up. Incubation is about 17 days.

Pink, naked and feather-less! But they can call mommy to feed in a couple of hours!

Boy do they grow fast! These are about 3-4 weeks old.

The fun about breeding parakeets is that you'll never know what colors you'll get. These babies are from the same parents!

Daddy waiting patiently for them to come out of the nest. Usually around 6 weeks they will come out and within two days they will be able to fly!

Is this cute or what?! Peeking out of the nest box when I opened it.
